In the daily rushing around of life, cleaning is something dismissed by many as too time consuming. The truth, however, is that cleaning can be done in small doses and can also be quite painless when done a little at a time rather than all at once. The Baton Rouge movers want to help you learn to incorporate small daily tasks to keep cleaning under control and clutter at bay.
While your kids are in the tub keep an eye on them while wiping off mirrors and doing a quick clean of the sink.
Shower and tub cleaning is such an effort, but you can do a little each day. After showering, wipe the shower down to prevent mold growth.
Never look at a sink full of dirty dishes again! Rinse off dishes and load them into the dishwasher immediately. If a load is running, wash individual dishes and place in a drying rack.
Make sure everything has a place. If it doesn’t something needs to go—either the item or something else to make room for what you want to keep.
Buy multifunctional furniture. Pieces with built in storage are a great way to get the most for your money.
Encourage family members to use the same glass for the day. There is no sense in going through four or five glasses—times several family members. You’ll accumulate dishes quickly!
Fold laundry as you take it out of the dryer. If you must go elsewhere, put it in a hamper and immediately being folding.
Resist the urge to buy things. Many of us get a little rush from purchasing things—anything—and we bring it home and then have to deal with where to keep it. If you don’t need something, don’t get it, and if you do purchase something, stick to the one-in-one-out rule. Get rid of something old.
Make your bed each morning. Cleanliness begets cleanliness!
While there are many other ways to clean a little each day, these are some of our easy favorites that you can easily integrate into your daily life. Be sure to keep up with the Baton Rouge movers and our frequent ideas on keeping a happy and organized household.
