Tips on Moving Safely During COVID-19

As an essential service, our Cherry Hill movers are still providing stress-free relocations even during the coronavirus pandemic. Despite most of the world being put on pause, people still need to move and All My Sons Moving & Storage Cherry Hill is here to help. All our moving crews and office staff have been trained to follow CDC and WHO guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our customers as well as our own team. We are doing our part; here is what you can do to keep yourself and your family safe when completing a move during COVID-19.

Wear Face Masks and Other PPE

In addition to following social distancing rules once your Cherry Hill residential movers arrive, wearing face masks, latex gloves, and plastic face shields are essential when protecting yourself from the coronavirus. Face masks with filters are more effective than typical cotton face masks; n95 respirator masks (if you are able to buy them) are one of the best options. Clear protective face shields offer another layer of protection, with new studies pointing to them being a better option than cloth masks in some cases.1

Create a Handwashing Station

Even if you and your Cherry Hill local movers are wearing latex gloves, periodic hand washing is still a good idea. Set aside some hand sanitizer and hand soap near your kitchen sink so your family as well as your movers can wash their hands when they can. Include a roll of paper towel for drying, a box of extra latex gloves and a garbage bag where used gloves and paper towel sheets can go.

Do Some of Your Own Packing

Packing a portion of your things will not only decrease the time movers spend inside your home but will also minimize the contact they have with your belongings. Less contact means a decreased risk of being exposed to germs and viruses, including the coronavirus. Since they are easier to pack than bulky furniture and appliances, we recommend packing your own clothes, linens, small electronics, cooking utensils, and dinnerware. All My Sons Moving & Storage conveniently offers new high-quality moving boxes and packing supplies in Cherry Hill.

Quarantine Yourself At Your New Home

The precautions your take when moving during the coronavirus pandemic shouldn't stop right when you arrive at your new home. Self-quarantining after moving in helps to ensure the safety of your neighbors, family members, and loved ones. Avoid meeting with anyone outside of your immediate family after your move. Self-quarantine yourself and your family for at least 14 days. Look out for any COVID-19 symptoms and be sure to rest. Moving to a new home can be stressful and tiring, you want to give your body the rest it deserves to maintain your health.

Here at All My Sons Moving & Storage, we thank our clients for trusting us with their relocation. Given the increased attention of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we want to assure all clients that their safety and our employees' safety are a top priority. While we're experts in moving, we want our clients to know that we're actively implementing the health and safety guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure we take the proper precautions.

We've instructed our employees that experience symptoms, defined by the CDC, to not report to work and instead contact their doctors. We ask that if you or any of your family members have experienced COVID-19 symptoms, please let us know immediately so we can take the proper additional precautions.

As a company, we believe in serving our community and supporting each other, especially during difficult times. We believe in the power of us, all of us!
